[From Sep, 2020] Foreign experts who stay in Vietnam must download the Bluezone app

Foreign experts who stay in Vietnam for no more than 14 days are not required to undergo centralized medical isolation but must download the Bluezone app.

According to the official letter of 4674/BYT-MT issued by the Ministry of health in 2020, which is the medical guidelines for foreign experts working in Vietnam for short-term (less than 14 days) prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic:

Investors, experts, skilled workers, business managers, entities (hereinafter referred to as experts), and family members from different countries enter Vietnam and stay for no more than 14 days without centralized medical isolation. However, they must strictly and fully comply with the regulations on the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic, so as to ensure the safety of the families of experts and avoid cross infection and infection with the community.

Among them, COVID-19 prevention and control has five requirements for entry and exit of Vietnam, which are as follows:

1. Organize and simplify the process to meet the experts: separate process, use separate entry gate with other;
2. When entering, the experts must present the negative test results of SARS-COV-2;
3. Direct check and monitor all experts’ electronic medical statements take body temperature and screen suspicious cases. When a symptom of fever, cough, sore throat or dyspnea is found, medical isolation shall be organized immediately and treatment shall be conducted as if suspected disease;
4. You are required to use the Bluezone app in Vietnam. Download link: https://bluezone.ai/;
5. Organize the transportation of accommodation experts in accordance with the instructions in Section 6 of part IV.
