According to the Vietnamese government’s decree, Norwegian is on the list of citizens of Visa-free countries (free visa for 15 days). Therefore, NORWEGIAN who want to stay in Vietnam for more additional than 15 days needs to hold a valid Vietnam visa.

NORWEGIAN citizens can apply for a Vietnam visa in one of four ways:

  • Apply for a Vietnamese tourist visa directly at the Vietnamese Embassy in Norway.
  • Apply for a Vietnamese visa online on the “eVisa Vietnam” system of the Vietnamese government website.
  • Individuals, organizations, and units in Vietnam (guarantors of Norwegian entry) shall go through immigration officer application procedures at Vietnam Immigration Bureau.
  • Use the tourist visa application service on this website.

Option 1. Apply for a visa at the Vietnamese Embassy in Norway

Documents required for Norwegian who are going to Vietnam to apply for visas:

  • Complete the online visa application form, print and sign it. Apply on the website: http://visa.mofa.gov.vn.
  • The original and copy of the passport shall be valid for at least six months from the expected date of arrival in Vietnam, with empty pages.
  • Two color photos, white background size 2×2 inches.
  • Vietnam visa application fee.
  • Reservation hotel room reservation.
  • Book a round-trip ticket.
